   Excerpts from Sheridan Online Obituary

         Ronald "Ron" VanWagner

Died July 5, 2023-age 88 peacefully after a battle with vascular dementia.
Born in Ionia, son of the late Irvin & Mildred (Nummer) VanWagner.
Ron was a dedicated family man, respected Engineer & passionate motor 
enthusiast.
His love for deconstructing & reconstructing vehicles extended from cars to 
motorcycles & tractors.
Ron's Engineer career, designing engine bearings was at Federal Mogul for 41 
years.
He loved fishing, bowling, and in younger years hunting.
Ron's three rules he lived by:treat others as you want to be treated, Do it 
right the first time, & do Not lie.
Predeceased by his parents, his wife,Patricia (Shurlow) VanWagner; sisters, 
Nancy Adams & Judy Blum, and Son-in-law, David Wandel.
Survived by his children; Randall VanWagner Sr., of Palo, Neal VanWager of 
Ionia; Lora Wandel of Belding; Penny Harris of Lakeview, and brother-in-law, Ron 
Blum.grandchildren; Randy Jr.(Krissa)VanWagner, Jessica Aper; Brandon Wandel 
(Ceira Wright); Orien Harris; Brenna Harris(Zach Wright).
Great-grandchildren:Kami, Dylan, Gabriel, Hannah,Gage, MacKenzie, Carter, Liam, 
Billy & great-great-grandchildren, Amelia &McKenzie.
A celebration of Ron's life is being held on Saturday,July 15, 2023 at 11 AM at 
the Edmore First Church of God(123 E.Main St.,Edmore).
Burial in the Vinewood Cemetery, Edmore, next to his wife, Pat.
Memorial contributions may be made directly to either Montcalm County Commission 
on Aging Program or American Heart Association.
