The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, June 26, 1947

Asa John VanWyck, 75, of Dewitt died at McLaughton’s hospital in Lansing 
Wednesday afternoon after a short illness.

Born December 11, 1871, in Sebewa, he lived in Lansing for the past 14 years 
with his daughter, Mrs. John Henry, his sole survivor.  Prior to that time he 
was a farmer.

Funeral services will be held from the Myers funeral home at 1:30 p.m. 
Saturday afternoon with the Rev. Wayne Davis officiating.  Interment will be 
in the family lot at the Highland Park cemetery.

Subsequent Publication:  Monday, June 30, 1947

Funeral services for Asa John VanWyck, 75, were held Saturday afternoon t 1:30 
o’clock from the Myers funeral home with the Rev. Wayne Davis officiating.  
Interment was in Highland park cemetery.  Mr. VanWyck died Wednesday at 721 
North Chestnut street, Lansing.

Attending the services from away were Mr. and Mrs. John Henry and Mr. and Mrs. 
Fred Fields of Lansing.
