   Per IONIA SENTINEL-STANDARD, ca. 1980:  "Area obituaries - BEVERLY WANDEL -
IONIA - Beverly Wandel, 35, of 1620 Kellogg Road died Thursday evening at
Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids following a long illness.
   She was born on May 15, 1945, in Menominee, the daughter of Carl and Helen
(Rowley) Bennett, now of Ionia.
   She attended elementary school in Escanaba; Wausau, Wis.; and Ionia.  She
graduated from Ionia High School in 1963 and Michigan State University in 1966.
   She taught school in Ionia County and was also employed at First Security
Bank and by Michigan Bell Telephone in both Ionia and Greenville.
   She was an active member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
   She is survived by her husband, Dale; two children, Craig and Elaine, both at
home; a maternal grandfather, Ford Rowley of Ionia; two brothers, Carl L.
Bennett, Jr. of Haslett and Russell H. Bennett of Honolulu; and her parents.
   An infant son, Allen, preceded her in death.
   Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday from the Leddick Funeral Home with the
Rev. Willis Braun of LeValley United Methodist Church officiating.
   Burial will be in Balcom Cemetery.
   The family will receive friends and relatives from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and
Sunday at the funeral home.
   A memorial fund has been established for the American Cancer Society. 
Contributions may be left at the funeral home.
