Belding Banner-News Thurs. December 1, 1966

                               MRS. MABEL E. WELLS

Mrs.Mabel E.Wells, 88, former Belding resident, died recently in Mason General 
Hospital, Mason, following a lingering illness.

Born June 25, 1878 in New Hudson,Michigan, she was the daughter of Mr and 
Mrs.Charles Gray. She was married to Alfred Wells December 12, 1899.

She was a member of the Methodist church of Mason and of the White Shrine of 
Ionia and was a Past Noble Grand of Rebekah Lodge No.60, Belding.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1956 and by a brother and two 
sisters.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs.Ronald (Alfreda) Wells of Dundee and two 
grandchildren.
