The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, December 10, 1930
Thomas Welsh, 72, died at his home west of Hubbardston Tuesday afternoon at 2 
o’clock, following an illness of some months.  Thomas Welsh was born on what 
is known as the Corey place in 1859.  In 1887 he was united in married to 
Lizzie Cusack, and….(illigible).

Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 9 o’clock from St. John’s 
Catholic church with Rev. Fr. W. J. Flanagan, officiating.  

Mr. Welch is survived by his widow, one daughter, Mrs. Patrick Cunningham, of 
Hubbardston; one sister, Mrs. Maggie McKenna, of Detroit; a brother, Patrick 
Welsh, of Fowler.  Four sisters, Mrs. Dave Roach, Mrs. John Handlon, Mrs. 
James O’Neill, and Mrs. Henry Allen, have preceded him in death.
