Ionia County News - Thursday, Oct. 22, 1953

Funeral service was conducted Friday from the Hoffman funeral home in 
Greenville for Mrs. Perry B. Werts, 79, who passed away Thursday at the 
Greenville hospital, where she had been a patient for four days. 

Mrs. Werts was born June 27, 1871, at Northwest, Ohio, the daughter of Mr. and 
Mrs. Henry Noble. She was married to Walter G. Davenport, who passed away some 
years ago. They lived several years at their farm home near Lyons.

She was married in 1945 to Perry D. Werts of Greenville, who died in 1952.

She is survived by three sons, Frank Davenport of Portland; Ralph Davenport, 
Goodrich and Royal Davenport, Greenville; two daughters, Mrs. John Peck, 
Belding, and Mrs. Clarence E. Potter, Lyons; twelve grandchildren; sis great 
grandchildren, three brothers and two sisters.

Rev. Richard Struthers of Greenville officiated at the service, and burial was 
in the Tuttle cemetery.
