Ralph Jonathan Westover, of Remus, formerly of Greenville, passed on into 
glory unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 11, 2008. 

He was born Jan. 30, 1935 in Lakeview the son of Leslie A. and Neva A. 
(Skinner) Westover. Ralph graduated from high school there in 1953 and married 
his first wife, Joyce, two years later. He worked at Extruded Metals in 
Belding his whole life, retiring from there in 1990. After retirement, he and 
Joyce enjoyed traveling and visiting the casinos. After Joyce's passing in 
2000, he later married Lucienne Snyder who also passed on to glory last fall. 
Ralph will be fondly remembered by his playful grin and his many mischievous 
pranks and stories.

Preceding him in death are his first wife, Joyce; second wife Lucienne; 
parents, Leslie and Neva Westover; a brother Duane Westover; two sisters Lela 
Mae Westover and Ruth Basney. 

Remaining behind to remember him and celebrate his life are his brother-in-
law, Orval Basney of Lakeview and nieces and families, John and Leslie Anne 
Wood of Cedar Springs, Raylene Basney of Gowen and Craig and Vicki Nadeau of 
Lakeview. Also surviving are his stepchildren Gaylord (Alice) Snyder, Jack 
(Shirley) Snyder and Dawn Snyder all of Remus and Bob (Pat) Woods of Midland 
and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, all whom he 
loved dearly, as well as a special friend, Karla Witham of Greenville. 

A Celebration of Life service for Ralph will be 3 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2008 
at the Marshall Funeral Home in Greenville with Pastor Tom Hansen officiating. 
Guests may pay their respects at the funeral home 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. 
Thursday, March 13, 2008. Burial will be at Rest Haven Memory Gardens. The 
family suggests that memorials in Ralph's name be to Greenville Community 
Church Food Pantry.
