                                L. AUGUSTA WHITE

SARANAC - Mrs.L.Augusta White, 88, of 2729 Sharon court, S.W., Wyoming, died 
Friday at Kent Community hospital in Grand Rapids.

Born in Keene Township, Ionia County, March 1, 1886, she was the daughter of 
Frank and Welthie Rickert Bowen.

March 25. 1912, she was married to Charles D. White in Saranac and he died in 
1953. They had lived one year on a farm in Keene Township before moving to 
Wyoming where they lived 40 years. After the death of her husband she came to 
make her home in Saranac 18 years then returning to Wyoming four years ago.

She was a member of the Grandville Methodist Church.

Surviving are three sons, Harry White of Wyoming, Robert of Farmington and 
Charles of Mt.Pleasant; two daughters, Mrs. Welthie Drake of Aberdeen, Wash.; 
and Dorothy White of Dallas,Texas; six grandchildren and six great-
grandchildren; brother Fred Bowen of Saranac.

Funeral Services will be Monday at 1:30 pm at Morris-Roetman Funeral Home at 
Saranac. Rev.Ed Mendenhall will officiate and interment will be at White 
Cemetery, near Saranac.

Family will be at the funeral home Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 
p.m.
