Ionia Sentinel Standard – 3 October 1960
Mrs. Nettie E. Whitlock, 80, a resident of Route two, Portland, 59 years, died 
Sunday at Ionia County memorial Hospital.  Mrs. Whitlock was born January 12, 
1880 in Owasco, New York.  Her husband, Orville, died in 1946.  She is 
survived by a son, Harold W. Whitlock of Portland; three grandchildren; a 
brother, Carl S. Webb of Amber, N.Y.; two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Gorman of 
Cartland, N. Y., and Mrs. Winifred Sawyer of Moravia, N.Y.

Service will be conducted Wednesday at 2 pm at Neller Funeral Home in Portland 
with the Rev. Robert Treat officiating.  Interment will be at Portland 
Cemetery.
