Elmer Winey, 88 Dies At His Home

Elmer Winey, 88, retired Campbell township farmer, passed away Saturday morning 
at his home four and a half miles west of town onM-50. He was a member of the 
Thornapple Church of the Brethren. 

Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Roy McRoberts of Copemish and Mrs. 
Charles Weiland of Clarksville, one son, Roy Winey of lake Odessa, four sisters; 
Ms. C.L. Henney and Mrs. Jesse Hazen of Lake Odessa, Mrs. D.L. Moore of Muskegon 
and Mrs. H. Goosen of Long Beach, California, a brother, Ira Winey of Lawton, 
nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 at the Thornapple Church of the Brethren 
with burial in Clarksville cemetery. Rev. Harley Townsend of Battle Creek and 
Rev. Carl Welch officiated.
