Winkowski, 85, of Greenville died Monday, May 14, 2007, at Spectrum Health United Memorial United Campus Greenville. She was born in Belding on January 14, 1922 the daughter of Austin and Emma Danford Dexter. Vivian was married on April 27, 1968 in Greenville to James E. Winkowski. She was retired from Greenville Public Schools as a cook in the schools. She was a good, loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by her family and friends. Her parents preceded her in death, as did her brother Arthur Dexter and her daughter Louise Palmer Schafer in 2004. She is survived by her husband James of Greenville, her son Louis and Karen Palmer of Stanton, daughters, Anne Burgess of Greenville and Edie and Larry Denevan of Fenwick, her 16 grandchildren and many, many great and great great grandchildren, her stepchildren, Michael and Dorrie Winkowski of Escanaba and James and Jackie Winkowski of Marquette. Funeral services will be held on Thursday May 17, 2007 at 2 PM from Hurst Funeral Home with Rev. Jerrold T. Jones officiating. Burial will be later in Riverside Cemetery Langston. There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions may be given to American Heart Association.
