Lowell Ledger, 17 Jun 1920

Robert W. Young was born in Boston township Nov. 7, 1865.  Died June 9, 1920. 
He was the second son of Wayne and Mary Young, pioneers of Ionia county; was
married May 17, 1885, to Nellie Leece of the same township, who, together with
two daughters, Belle and Alice, and one son, Wilbur, his mother Mrs. Mary A.
Young, and one brother, Hugh S. Young of Lowell, survive him.  Robert Young
needs no eulogy – a devoted son, a loyal brother, a kind and loving husband and
father and a faithful friend, his life speaks for itself.  The funeral was held
at the home Friday afternoon.  Rev. Mr. Crossman of Clarksville officiating, and
the large attendance showed the esteem in which Mr. Young was held.  The
following relatives and friends were present: Mr. and Mrs. Hugh S. Young of
Lowell, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Young, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Behler and Mrs. Clara E.
Knee of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Lotta W. Windsor of Pittsburg, Pa., Miss Alida Y.
Winslow of Maumee, Ohio, Orvin Nash and family, Harry Richason and family and
Wm. Bustance and family of Clarksville and Mr. and Mrs. John Christie of
Caledonia.  Mrs. Young’s mother, who was too ill to attend is at the home of H.
S. Young.
