Mrs. Mary Fry. Miss Mary Scrimger was born in Dundee, 
Scotland Aug. 10, 1828. She came to America with her 
parents when eight years old. She lived in Ohio where she 
met and married Jacob G. Fry, April 1, 1850; removed with 
her husband and two children in 1855 to Ganges, Allegan 
county, Mich, where she resided until 1886. She was left a 
widow June 30, 1873. She moved to Casco and resided with 
her two sons Wesley and Charles until her death Wednesday, 
Dec. 14, 1910, aged 82 years, 4 months and 4 days.  To them 
were born seven children two of whom have passed on before, 
five now living: George W., Maggie J. McCarty, Wesley G., 
Josie M. Hampton, and Charles F. Besides her children she 
leaves three grand-children, three sisters, two brothers, 
and other relatives and many friends to mourn her loss.  
She lived a very quiet, peaceful life and was a kind, 
loving mother.  In her early years she sought and found her 
Savior and with her husband united with the first Baptist 
church in 1867.  She lived with the full assurance that 
when the time came for her to leave this earth for the 
other shore she would be met by the Savior and the loved 
ones gone before."
