Allegan, Mich., July 22-Bernard Salzman, former Chicago rabbi, in whose store near South Haven, officers seized liquor during a raid, was sentenced in Allegan circuit court today to pay a fine of $100 and to spend six months to one year in Ionia reformatory. Harry P. Hilliard, who swore falsely to an affidavit in obtaining a license to marry a 13-year-old girl, was sentenced to six months to fifteen years in Ionia. C. J. Bowler, of Allegan, and Harold Malcolm of Otsego, chiropractors, convicted of practicing without license- were committed to the county jail for ? 60 days and ordered to pay $100 fine and $46.59 costs each. ? unsure of second amount. Ralph Bodine and Walter Martin of Chicago, who pleaded guilty to stealing ? $80 from Mrs. Jesse Baker in an Otsego hotel, were ordered to pay fine and costs of $107.?? and 32.63? respectively.
