Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 13, 1954 from Groves & Co.,, Memorial Chapel, Garland at Third Ave., Rev. H. W. Colenso officiating. Burial in Grace Lawn Cemetery. Mr. Berg will lie in state at Groves & Co., Memorial Chapel. he was born in Germany. October 5, 1979, son of William and Eva Berg. Lived in Flint for the last 39 years coming here from Sterling, Mich. Mr. Berg was a retired carpenter. Surviving are: 2 half brothers, Arthur Felske of Flint, Robert J. Felske of Toledo, Ohio; several nieces and nephews. Submitter's note: Eduard Leopold Berg was born October 5, 1878 in Klein Radowisk, Briesen, West Prussia to parents Wilhelm and Eva Streuer Berg. He came with his parents and sister in the summer of 1882 to settle near Sterling in Deep River Township. Wilhelm Berg died October 13, 1882 and is buried on the hill in Sterling Cemetery. His sister, Augusta Rosina Berg, died November 2, 1882 at the age of 17 months. Her burial site is unknown. His mother married John Felske in August of 1886.
