Maple Ridge Farmer Dead

     Funeral Services for Fred Decker, 79, life-time resident of Maple Ridge, were held in Prescott Thursday afternoon at the Maple Ridge Free Methodist Church. The Rev. John Keetch officiated and burial was in Clayton Cemetary.
     Mr. Decker was found dead the previous Monday evening in a field on his farm where he had been driving a tractor. Coroner Clare Forshee ruled death caused by a heart attack.
     Born May 15, 1874 in Porterville, NY, Mr. Decker came with his parents to Maple Ridge at the age of four. He married the former Miss Lydia Sisco March 16, 1895 in Maple Ridge. Mrs. Decker died in 1935.
     Surviving are five sons, William and Keith, flint; Glenn, Mt. Morris; Clyde,Sterling, and Archie, Twining; 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
