Alvina LaClair, was born June 29, 1870 in Franklin Center, P.Q. and died Monday, August 3 of a heart ailment with which she had been troubled the past four years. She was married to Edmund LaClair January 9, 1888 at which time they moved to Standish Township, Arenac Co. They lived here 47 years. Mr. LaClair died December 8, 1935. Surviving are one son, Salomon, Standish; four daughters, Mrs. Philip Cavanaugh, Mrs. Joseph Bissonett and Mrs. Henry Shannon, Standish; and Mrs. Lloyd Ives, Detroit; six brothers and sisters: Julius and Raymond Trombley and Mrs. Delina Hebert, Franklin Center, Quebec; Moses Trombley and Mrs. J.J. McCharty, Concord, N.H.; Mrs. Nelson LaClair, Standish, besides 19 grandchildren & two great grandchildren. One son and 1 daughter died in infancy. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 9:00 o'clock at St. John the Baptist church with Fr. E.P. Labory officiating. Burial will take place at Pine River cemetery.
