LaClair of rural Standish died at Mercy Hospital in Bay City Sunday after an 11-day illness. He was born in Sananing October 5, 1887. He married the former Mary Ann Rashott in Standish in 1911. She died in 1952. He then married Mrs. Eva LaLonde in 1953 in Standish. He served as supervisor for Standish Township from 1952 until 1963 and was treasurer for oveer 20 years. He owned and operated a farm in Standish Township. He is survived by his wife Eva; two daughters, Mrs. Josephine Reno of Standish and Mrs. Mary Adams of Southfield; four sons, Paul, Louis and Omar, all of Standish, and Elmer of Midland; one brother, Armon, of Standish; 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held this morning at 10:00 a.m. from St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Joseph Roach officiating. Burial was in the Pine River Cemetery.
