Raymond Gerald LaClair, 33, was killed instantly in an automobile-train collision in Garden Grove, California Sunday, November 21st. LaClair had resided in Standish all his life until moving to California six years ago. He was born in Standish January 2, 1921. On January 8, 1939 he married Miss Goldie Nixon in Miami, Florida and they returned to live here in Standish following his discharge from the armed forces. He was a member of both the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Posts in Standish. Surviving are his wife Goldie of Garden Grove, Calif., two daughters, Cheryl and Shaundell both at home, his mother, Mrs. Florence LaClair of Standish; two sisters, Mrs. Drusilla Prell of Pontiac and Mrs. Oscar Klenk, and one brother Edmund LaClair of Standish. The body will be at the Savage Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements are incomplete awaiting the arrival of the body.
