Arenac County Independent, August 1939 Transcriber, date unknown Contributor unknown Death of Anna Lemmer Anna Cain was born January 6, 1885, at Maple Ridge and died August 18, 1939, at Standish Hospital after five weeks of illness. She was a good wife and a kind and thoughtful neighbor and will be missed by all who knew her. She was united in marriage to William Lemmer February 4, 1910, and whom she lived happily until his death February 27, 1929. To this union four children were born, one preceding her in death. Moving from the farm after Mr. Lemmer's death, they have lived the last nine years in Standish. She leaves to mourn, one son, Laural, and two daughters, Leona and Reva, three grandchildren, all of Standish, also five sisters, Mrs. C. Lemmer, Mrs. E. Hillman, both of Maple Ridge; Mrs. Ernest Bergeron, Melita; Mrs. Wardie Nixon, Inkster; Mrs. Walter Huff, Detroit; three brothers, William Cain, Maple Ridge; Joseph Cain of Wayne; and George Cain of Pinebrook N. J., and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held August 21 at the Maple Ridge Free Methodist church with interment at Mason township cemetery, Rev. C. B. Collver officiating.
