[Gus] Marks Agustave Adolph Marks, 79, retired brick mason, World War I veteran, and resident of 1003 Hall Street, died in his sleep at his home early this morning. Mr. Marks was born May 5, 1888, in Sterling, Mich. He was employed as a brick mason in and around Atlanta, Mich., most of his life. He came to Albion in 1966 to make his home with his son, Keith Marks, 1003 hall Street. He had been in failing health since Christmas. He servied in the U.S. Army during World War I. Suriving are five sons, Agustave Marks Jr., Flint, Fred and Richard Marks, Jackson, Earl Marks, Ypsilanti, and Keith Marks, Albion; two daughters, Mrs. James (Viola) Minard, Cedarville, and Mrs. David (Matilda) Wilcox, Michigan Center; two brothers, two sisters, and 30 grandchildren. Friends may call at the King and Helrigel Home for Funerals, where services will be held in the chapel at 11:00. Interment in Riverside Cemetery.
