Arenac County Independent, date unknown Transcriber, date unknown Contributor unknown TWINING WOMAN DIED LAST WEEK Mrs. Zelta M. Ripenbark was born at Prescott March 8, 1895, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. E.C. Irish. She was one of five children. She grew up in Prescott and on the farm where the family moved when she was a young girls, a few miles from Prescott. On December 25, 1915, she was united to Floyd G. Ripenbark at the home of her parents. For several years after their marriage they operated the County Line Telephone Exchange. In 1925 they moved to Dearborn where they lived for a number of years, coming to Twining 20 years ago. Two sons were born to them, Floyd, Jr. of Emmet, and Ted of Garden City. Her husband passed away in December 1951. Besides the two sons she leaves six grandchildren and two great grandchildren, her brothers, Earl, of Hale and Willard, of Detroit, and her sister, Virginia Dietzel, of Twining, at whose home she passed away after one week's illness December 15. A sister, Freda Smith, died in Flint March 1944. She also leaves two uncles, Rev. Wardner Irish, of Hemlock and Albert Owen, of Prescott, and many cousins, nephews, nieces and a host of neighbors and friends. Services were held at 1:00pm Wednesday, Dec 17, at the Dietzel residence. Burial was in the family lot in Richland Cemetery near Prescott, with Rev. David VanGordom, of Twining, officiating.
