Arenac County Independent, April 1939 Transcriber, date unknown Contributor unknown DEATH OF TENA ANDERSON Tena A. Smith, daughter of Mr. James M. Smith, was born November 27, 1895 and died April 7, 1939, at Hurley Hospital, Flint, MI. Pneumonia was the cause of her death. She was married to Floyd Anderson April 17, 1912 at Maple Ridge, MI. She leaves to mourn their loss her bereaved husband and six children, Mrs. Helen Reigle, Harvey, Gertrude, Geneice, Floyd, Jr. and Robert; her father and stepmother, Mr. & Mrs. J. M. Smith; four brothers and four sisters and a host of relatives and friends. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends for her cheerful smile and helping hand. She was an active member of the Nazarene Church. Funeral services were held in the Free Methodist Church in Maple Ridge. Interment was at the Clayton Cemetery, Clayton Twp. We know she is safe in that happy land, free from all suffering and pain, with a crown on her brow and a harp in her hand. She was good and true and loved by all. She was needed here below, but when she heard her Savior call, she was ready, yes willing to go. A few short days of pain she bore and then God took her home to dwell with him for evermore, with angels bright to roam.
