Arenac County Independent, Wednesday, June 8, 1927 Transcribed, date unknown Contributor Matt Larive Mrs. Mary Stone passed away at the home of her son William, Thursday June 2, 1927 after a short illness of only a few days. Mary Rosetta Donaldson was born at Saline, MI June 22, 1837. She was united in marriage to Clark Stone, Jan. 1, 1859. To this union was born five children of which only 2 survive, a daughter, Mrs. J.C. Fox, and a son, William, both of Sterling. Her husband preceded her in death in 1882. In addition to her son and daughter she is survived by 4 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren, and a host of friends and neighbors. Her Christian life endeared her to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by all those who know her. She has been a resident in this county for over 30 years. Funeral services were conducted Sunday at the home at 12 o'clock and at the M.E. Church of Sterling at 1:00 by Rev. Geo Nevin. Interment was made in the Sterling Cem.
