Hosea Bedunah Family

Some family histories show Hosea being born in New York state to John ( born in Stephentown NY 18 May 1794) and Julia Pifer (born June 10, 1818 and died in Benton Harbor on Oct 26, 1896). One of Hosea's brother's was Moses who settled in Allegan county and lived out the remainder of his life there. According to a family researcher, Marylin Curtiss DeYoung, Moses and Hosea's father John was the son of Moses Bedunah who served in the Revolutionary War. Moses Bedunah, who served in the Revolutionary War lived from 1753 to 1837. He wed Sarah Babcock and they had the following children: Moses, John, Aaron and Hosea. The subject of our piece, Hosea, enlisted Boonesville, Oneida, NY - for the Union side in the Civil War at age 18 - Company D 146th Regiment, New York Infantry, as a Private and served several months before being declared disabled and mustered out. Hosea may be found with his mother, Julia, 1880 census in Allegan County, Michigan . Hosea married Nina Baldwin of Grant County, Indiana. Nina Baldwin was born Oct 3, 1862 and died Nov 26, 1934. I believe her to be the daughter of Terah & Isabelle Baldwin of Grant County, Indiana. According to documents and doing a little math, Hosea was born 1844 and died 24 February 1922. There is some unraveling that needs to be done here. The WPA records shows Hosea marrying Nina Baldwin in 1891 in Grant County, Indiana, but in subsequent census that follow, they state that they have been married 20 years in the 1900 census and 29 years in the 1910 census. Actual records in Grant County, Indiana need to be researched. Nina, in the 1900 census states that she had 5 children of which 4 survive. As of this writing we do not know who the child or infant was that died before the 1900 census. The following children appear with them in this census Edward - Sep 1885 - married twice. Frank - Aug 1890 - wife Madie or Mada Clara - Feb 1893 Wed Roy Davis Daniel - Apr 1897 died Oct 2, 1962 husband of Ernestina Beimler who was born Oct 1, 1901 in Russia. Wed July 16, 1919 in Benton Harbor, MI. By 1910 Census, one more child is born he is George Hosea,often referred as Hosea. He was born August 14, 1902 and died April 28th 1962 So in total, Hosea and Nina had 6 children and 5 survived well into the 20th century.
