In an effort to find the relationship between Carl Angolin who is buried in the family plot of Anthony J. Patzkowsky I searched some Patzkowsky records.

The 1870 census of Lincoln Township includes:
Patchcosky, Andrew, 51 years of age, Fruit Grower who was born in Prussia and Anne, his wife, 40 years of age who was also born in Prussia. Their children were all recorded as being born in Michigan:

John 13 years of age
Henry 12 years of age
Anthony 9 years of age
William 8 years of age
Othelia 5 years of age
Edward 3 years of age

The 1880 census of Lincoln Township includes:

Paskoskie, Andrew, 61 years of age, Farmer who was born in Prussia and Anna, his wife, 50 years of age who was also born in Prussia. Their children were all recorded as being born in Michigan:

Henry 21 years of age
Anthony 19 years of age
William 15 years of age
Othelia 14 years of age
Edward 12 years of age
Annie 7 years of age

On 10 Dec 1885 in St. Joseph Anton Julius Patzkowsky who was 24 years of age married Ernestine Maria Angeline also 24 years of age. Her father is recorded as Charles Angoline and her mother as Emelia Kruger. Anton (Anthony) was born in St. Joseph and Ernestine was born in Germany. Ernestine Potokoski died 13 Jan 1903.

The 1887 Plat maps of Berrien County include an A. Patzkoskie in section two of Lincoln Township. This is likely Andrew.

The 1887 Plat maps also include an A. Patzkowsky in section twenty-seven of Royalton Township. This is likely Anthony J. Patzkowsky

The 1892 Berrien County Directory includes:
Henry H. Patzkowsky living on State Street in St. Joseph. He is also listed as co-owner of a saloon on the northwest corner of Ship and Main streets in St. Joseph. The other co-owner is listed as Elizabeth Meilsheimer.
Andrew Patskowski as a farmer in Royalton, St. Joseph.
Andrew Potzkowski as a farmer in Lincoln, St. Joseph.
A.J. Potzkowski as a farmer in Lincoln, Vineland.

The 1900 census of Lincoln Township shows:
Patykowsky, Anthony who was born in Dec 1860 in Michigan and his wife Auistina (Ernestina?) who was bron in Dec 1860 in Germany. They are both listed as 39 years of age. Their children were recorded as:
Annie born in Nov 1888 in Michigan and who was 11 years of age
Lily born in Jan 1891 in Michigan and who was 9 years of age
Filbrandt, Rinholdt who was born in Sep of 1867 in Germany and who was 32 years of age and his wife Annie who was born in May of 1873 in Michigan and who was 27 years of age. Their child was recorded as:
Edna born in Aug of 1896 in Michigan and who was 3 years of age
also recorded in this household was:
Annie Patzkowsky who was born in Germany in Sep 1830 and who was 69 years of age and widowed. She is recorded as Rinholdt’s mother-in-law.
Andrew Patzkowsky married Anna Karwetzky. Andrew ia recorded as being born in Prussia while Anna is recorded as being born in Germany.

The 1900 census of St. Joseph Township includes:
Patzkowsky, Edward and his wife Elizabeth and also Henry Patzkowsky and his wife Francis and their families.

The 1910 census of Royalton Township includes:
Patzkowsky, Anthony J. who was 49 years of age and his wife, Nellie who was 36 years of age. The children are recorded as:
Anna 21 years of age, daughter
Clyde 3 years of age, son
Paris, Carl 8 years of age, stepson

Apparently Anthony’s second wife, Nellie had been married before to a man whose last name was Paris. Anna is Anthony’s daughter by Ernestine (Angolin) Patzkowsky.

The 1910 census of St. Joseph Township includes:

Patzkowsky, Edward and his wife Elizabeth and also Henry Patzkowsky and his wife Francis and their familes.

The 1920 census of Royalton Township includes:

Patzkowsky, Anthony J. who was 59 years of age and his wife, Nellie, who was 46 years of age. Their children are recorded as:

Clyde who was 12 years of age

Raymond who was 8 years of age

Edwin who was 6 years of age

In section five and plot thirteen of the Spring Run Cemetery (old section) are buried:

Ernestine M. Patzkowsky b. 1857 d. 1903

Carl Angolin b. 1823 d. 1899
