Bertrand Bible Church Cemetery
Formerly Truitts Chapel Cemetery
 Niles Township
Section 13

Located on E. Bertrand Road and S. 17th Street in Niles.

History: Peter Truitt and family came from Deleware to the Niles township, Berrien county and Milton Township of Cass County in 1831.
Peter upon his death would be buried in Milton Township,Cass County, Michigan and not in this cemetery.
William Truitt, Peter's brother, donated the land upon which this cemetery is located. There are no Truitt's buried in the cemetery.
William, who donated the land for the church and cemetery, later moved on to Allegan County, Michigan where he lived out the remainder of his life
and died in 1888 buried in Hillside Cemetery, Allegan Co., MI.

Resources for below listing are photos of stones taken in cemetery, old obits, family histories and archaic listings. Also See Find A Grave for newer burials.
