Located
1/2 mile North of Lemon Creek Road on Stevensville-Baroda Road, North
of the Village of Baroda. Thomas Phillipps settled in Section 2
of Lake Township in 1836. In the spring of 1837 he sold the mill site
on his land to Peter Ruggles and Erastus Munger, who built a saw mill
the same year. It is likely that this cemetery and Ruggles Road
derived their name from the Peter Ruggles family.
