Born 29 July 1921 in Cheboygan, Michigan and died 13 July 2006 in White Pigeon, Michigan. Edlest daughter of Joseph Hastings Dumond and Alice Louise Glover. In 1941 Clara took on her first job cleaning and cooking for a family of four. She held this job for about a year moving on to her second job in 1942. She was hired as a clerk for S. S. Kresge Co. and kept this position until 1943. She then was employed from 1943-1950 at Farmers And Merchants Bank. They started her out in the Interior Proving Department. then later moved her on to the Collections Department. From there she was moved into the Bookeeping Department and the last area moved to was as a Teller.This was her final job in Benton Harbor before she and Donald Alan Price married on 4 September 1949 and decided to move on to White Pigeon, Michigan. There they purchased Burgess Drug Store in 1952, where she kept up the bookeeping until they both retired in 1983. Clara was my maternal Aunt who adopted the two eldest daughters of her youngest sister. One being me.
