LaFave, Edna Maude
New Buffalo--Mrs. Edna Maudd LaFave, 82, of route 2 New Buffalo, died at
1:15 a.m. Wednesday in the Berrien County Hospital following an illness of 18
days.
Mrs. LaFave was born April 29, 1884 in Erie County, Penn. She is the
daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Luther Green.
She is survived by nieces
and nephews, Mrs. LaFave's husband Louis preceded her in death. She was a
resident of New Buffalo for the past 15 years and a member of the Assembly of
God Church in Michigan City, Ind.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday at
2:30 p.m. in the Smith funeral home in New Buffalo. The Rev Reignald Yake
pastor of the Assembly of God Church in Michigan City will officiate.
Burial will be in the Riverside cemetery in Three Oaks.
Friends may call
at the Smith funeral home after 7:00 p.m this evening.

New Buffalo Man Dies In Hospital
New Buffalo, Sept.
26-(Special)-Louis J. LaFave, 40, died at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in St. Anthony's
hospital of Michigan City, Ind., following a short illness.
Born Sept. 26,
1905, in North Dakota the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry LaFave of Duluth, Minn, he
came to New Buffalo about one year ago and was employed at the Pullman Car
Company in Michigan City, Ind. He was formerly employed as a fireman in the
Pittsburgh Steamship Company in Pittsburgh.
Surviving besides his parents
are his wife, Maude.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and the body is
resting at the Smith funeral home.

Louis LaFAVE Dies
New Buffalo, Sept. 27---Funeral services will be
conducted at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in the Smith Funeral home for Louis J. LaFave,
40, who died at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in St. Anthony's hospital, Michigan City,
Ind.
The Rev. Francis Sharpe, of St. Mary's Catholic church, will
officiate, and burial will be made in Pine Grove cemetery.

Mrs.
Rose Larsen Harbert - Mrs. Rose A. Larsen, of Harbert, died at 12:15 p.m.
yesterday in the Warren Clinic, Michigan City, Ind. She was 71 years old.
Mrs. Larsen was born Sept 9, 1891 in Norway, the daughter of
Sifert and Anna Larsen. She came to this country as a child with her parents.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Roy (Lillian) Ackerman, of
Sawyer, and Mrs. Charles, (Sylvia) Scovern, Dallas, Tex.; a sister, Mrs.
William (Lillian) Parren of Harbert, a brother I. N. Larsen, Lake Worth, Fla.;
six grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are
incomplete at the Connelly-Noble funeral home, Three Oaks. Friends may call at
the funeral home after 7 today.
Lauder, Charles
CHARLES LAUDER, 83, DIES AFTER ILLNESS. Charles E. Lauder, 83, died
Tuesday night at 9:45 in his home. 40 Marment Street, where he had been ill
about a week with heart trouble. Born May 4, 1860, in Snyder County, PA., he
came to Niles 33 years ago from Three Rivers. He was retired and a member of
the Maccabee Lodge. Surviving is his wife, Lena, five children, Verne Lauder,
North Hollywood, Calif., Mrs. Orland Atkinson, South Bend, Joseph Lauder, Mrs.
George Kirkwood and Mrs. Ollie Steiner, all of Niles, two grandchildren, Jack
and Joma Lauder, Niles; three sisters, Mrs. Ida Pugh, East Cleveland, Ohio;
Mrs. Frank Firestone, Elkhart, Ind.; Mrs. Arthur Smith, Three Rivers and a
brother, Lloyd Lauder, Battle Creek. Friends may call in the Rutherford Funeral
Home where services will be conducted by the Rev. J. Kenneth Hoffmaster. Burial
will be in Constantine.

MRS. LENA LAUDER. Mrs. Lena Lauder, 84, of 40 Marmont St., died Sunday
at 8:25 a.m., in Pawating Hospital, after being a patient there for a day.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Lloyd Schloop of
the First Methodist Church, of which she was a member, officiating. Moving here
from Three Rivers in 1911, she was born in Constantine, March 7, 1883. Her
husband, Charles Lauder, died in 1944. Her survivors include two sons, Joseph
of Niles; and Vern of Tujunga, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Rosalie Kirkwood
and Mrs. Lorraine Steiner, both of Niles; and Mrs. Kathleen Atkinson of
Michawaka, Ind.; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Friends may
call at the funeral home after 7:00 p.m. today. Burial will be in Constantine.

Luster, Samuel W.-The News Palladium carried an obituary for Samuel
Wesley Luster on 09 June 1941 and it reads:
“Aged Farm Worker Dies Samuel Wesley Luster, 76, formerly of Arkansas
and who had been employed on the Edward Block farm in Royalton township, died
at 6 p.m. Sunday at the Berrien county hospital, following a lingering
illness. He was born March 4, 1865, in
Batesville, Ark. Surviving are his
widow, Rosetta, one son, Alfred, of Missouri, and a grandson, William. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30
a.m. Tuesday at the Kerlikowske funeral home, St. Joseph, and burial will be in
Spring Run cemetery.”

Luttrell, Archie – (Niles Daily Star – December 7, 1960)
DOWAGIAC – Archie Luttrell, 66, 410 E. Railroad St.,
Dowagiac, died at 1 a.m., today at his home. He was born June 1, 1894 in
Wexford County, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Luttrell. He married Ruth Myers,
who survives, on Nov. 10, 1934. He was a Navy veteran of World War I and a
member of Cass County Post 1855 of the Veterans of Foreign wars. Other
survivors include a son, Archie Jr., Cassopolis; four daughters, Mrs. Juanita
Felicetta, Elmond, N.Y., Mrs. Eva Zeldenrust, Houghton; Mrs. Ramona Melton,
Beloit, Wis., and Mrs. Lillian Flannagan, Dowagiac; a brother, Harry, Mesa,
Ariz.; a half-brother, George, South Bend; two half-sisters, Mrs. Marlan Searls
and Mrs. Ruth Rife, Dowagiac, and 12 grandchildren. Funeral services will be
held at 2:30 p.m., Friday at the McLauchlin Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles
Willard of the First Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in Riverside
Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
