| TAYLOR, ELIZA (Stevens): (The Courier, Coldwater, Branch Co., Michigan, April 3, 1912) Mrs. Eliza Taylor died at noon yesterday, April 2, 1912, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Judson Brown, in Ovid township, at the age of 78 years. Death resulted from heart trouble and asthma, following a brief illness. Mrs. Taylor has lived in Coldwater and vicinity for a great many years. She was the widow of Gilbert Taylor, who was drowned in the Baw Beese lake disaster in 1876. She is survived by two children, Almon D. Taylor of Coldwater township, and Mrs. Judson Brown of Ovid. The funeral will be held at the Brown home tomorrow at one o'clock and will be conducted by Rev. Clarence S. Burns. |
| TAYLOR, GILBERT HIRAM: (The Republican, Coldwater, Branch Co., Michigan, August 4, 1876) Quincy Items - Quincy, Aug. 3, 1876--The terrible calamity which has fallen upon your city casts its shadow darkly over Quincy also. Mr. Taylor was for many years a resident here, and his aged parents and his sister, Mrs. T.P. Smith, now lives here. It is less than a year since an elder brother, Mr. William Taylor, was killed in this town by an accident. Both brothers had suffered loss of property by fire within a few years. Another brother, John Taylor, died in the army, while the only one now living, Jay Taylor, of Elkhart, Indiana, lost a limb when a boy. Their mother has been blind for several years. It is a sad case of family affliction and bereavement and calls for earnest and hearty sympathy. Plans were being perfected for an excursion of all our Sunday schools to Bawbeese Lake, but now the general expression is we cannot go there. |

Mrs. Henry Taylor died yesterday, after a long and tedious sickness, the result of several diseases and extreme age. She had been totally blind for a number of years. She was for a long time a member of the Baptist Church and an exemplary Christian woman. |
| TAYLOR, HENRY: (The Courier, Coldwater, Branch Co., Michigan, April 25, 1885) Died, at the residence of Mr. T. Smith, on north Main street, on the 18th inst., Henry Taylor, aged 87 years. Mr. Taylor was one of the oldest men in our town, having lived here several years, and prior to that in Butler. He was a very active and energetic man for one of his age, being engaged in manual labor till within a few weeks of his death. Friends he had without number, enemies he had none. His life has been one of usefulness and worthy of imitation. The funeral took place from the house on Sunday, Rev. Louis Grosenburgh officiating. |
| TAYLOR, JAY L.: (The Quincy Herald, Quincy, Branch Co., Michigan, January 5, 1905) Jay L. Taylor, a former resident of Quincy, but for past twenty years residing at Elkhart, died at his home in that city last Friday, Dec. 30th at the age of 68 years, 11 months and 12 days, as a result of pulmonary tuberculosis. The remains arrived here on the afternoon train Monday, accompanied by the family and other relatives. Members of Quincy Masonic Lodge assisted in the burial at Lakeview. At one time deceased conducted a general store here and for a time was operator at depot. |
| TAYLOR, JULIA DAVID: (The Courier, Coldwater, Branch Co., Michigan, August 21, 1886) Mrs. Julia David Taylor died at her residence on the town line Monday noon of quick consumption. Her funeral was attended from the house Wednesday morning, Rev. Mr. Nichols officiating, her body was taken to Quincy for interment. The deceased was long and favorably known, when, at an early age, she became a Christian and has lived an exemplary life. She leaves a child and husband to mourn her loss. |
| TAYLOR, THEODORE DENNIS: ... was born in Clarksfield, Huron county, Ohio, Sept. 29, 1850, and departed this life Feb. 12, 1912, aged 61 years, 4 months and 14 days. At the age of 5 years, he came with his parents to Michigan, settling in Branch county, where he has since made his home. He was united in marriage to Julia David in 1878. To this union was born one son, John Leslie Taylor. Eight years later Mrs. Taylor passed away. In 1889 he was united in marriage to Mary Weatherwax, who together with his son, three grandchildren and 2 sisters, Mesdames E.L. and J.A. Dunham, of Coldwater, and a host of friends, are left to mourn his loss. For the past year he has been a great sufferer from cancer of the stomach, which sufferings he bore with patience. On Sept. 17, 1886, he became a member of Mt. Vernon Lodge No. 166 F.& A.M. In 1910 he became a member of Rathbun Lodge No. 167, I.O.O.F., and has been a faithful member of the orders. The following relatives from out of town were present at the funeral. Mrs. C.L. Smith, aunt of the deceased; Mrs. E.L. Dunham and son, Mrs. J.A. Dunham and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Watson, Mrs. H. Miller and Mrs. Emma Mix, of Coldwater; Mrs. O.M. Phair and Mrs. J.D. Phair of Homer; A. David and Philip, of Butler. |
| TAYLOR, WILLIAM H.: (Coldwater Republican, Coldwater, Branch Co., Michigan, August 31, 1875) A very sad accident occurred Thursday afternoon, which resulted in the death of Mr. Wm. H. Taylor, in the north part of the township. He was engaged in moving a building, using a windlass and horse power, when a chain broke, one end of which flew back, striking him on the bowels inflicting injuries of which he died in about twenty-four hours after. His funeral was attended at the Presbyterian church yesterday, the services being conducted by Dr. Shepherd, of the Disciples church, of which Mr. Taylor was a member. |

Three children survive, Mrs Flora BAKER of Howell, NY.; Mrs. Clara THOMPSON of Quincy, MI; and Mrs. Fred MYERS of Allen twp; also three grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Jane RIKER of Adrian, MI, besides nieces and nephews in the State of OH. Interment Lakeview Cemetery. |
