It's been very quiet on the site. If you have something to contribute, please let us know. Winter & Spring, Summer - adding corrections and additions as donated to site.
May - 2014 - More biographies have been added. Also included in additions to the site are more photos. Feb
- 2014 - Added Absolam Rice to the Brick Wall - to our Brick Wall page
for more informaton. This month of February, I tried to help a few
people with their research and made a few additions to the site. December 2nd, 2013 - Added a new help for people looking for Ancestors. Look for the Brick Wall button on the Index page and then contact us with your brickwall so we can add it to the site. October and November - working on improving the site and also adding photos and biographical information. September - added a few obituaries and correction and additions to a few of the cemeteries. August added a donated photostat copy of two wedding pages with 9 couples getting married in 1850. Thank
you goes to Daundra Baker with a correction and update on two different
Rogers (Rodgers) burial sites in Cass County. (Both located in
Pokagon Township.) July 2013 - Added another church - Silver Creek UMC - brief history and photo to our site. Thanks goes to Suzanne Wicks. June and July 2013 worked on adding some more donated and researched familiy biographies. May 1, 2013 - A few of the listings on Reames/Norton Cemetery have been added. On our family photos more McKee family photos are now on line as of today, May 1, 2013. Keith Harrison sent us new information on some of our Cass Co., Civil War Vets and also Medals.
We need your photos and/or information contributions for our site.
So dig in those attacks and old photo albums and see what you can locate.
With the exception of a few corrections and small additions, it has
been a pretty quiet here on the Cass County site.
In December, 2012 we did add a few more photos and a little bit of information for Bly Cemetery.
A few more Civil War Veterans have been added to our data base.

Family Histories &
Biographies Please - Per USGenWeb guidelines - No ged
coms from family tree maker or any other genealogy based programs. Please
submit family information either in biographical or story form. I and other
volunteers have done quite a few of the ged com revisions and it really takes a
lot of time to alter and remove the repeated information within.
I think just about every Christian remembers one of
the oldest hymns still sung in many churches through out the US.... Marta Dodd
and her group of researchers contributed a wonderful article about the original
Old Rugged Church of Pokagon and the grass roots story of the song "The Old
Rugged Cross" You can find it here:

Volunteer Page. Obits will be looked up and an email sent with the content
of what was in obituary. If hard copy is desired of original newspaper
article, then please include going rate for postage at time of look up.

Photos On-going request (Photos and Obits must pre-date
1960) We always welcome family
information on the ancestors of Cass County. Donated information will
always remain free to our viewers.
We are also looking for old school
graduating classes before 1950. Can you help? Have something in the
attic?
Among items being collected are: Pre 1950 - burial
records, obituaries, newspaper clippings, cemetery information, ancestor'
stories, diaries, photos, old family bible information, School info &
photos along with early marriages.

Michigan: Edwardsburg Argus, Edwardsburg - Independent Dowagiac
Republican, Dowagiac, - Republican Cassopolis National Democrat, Cassopolis
