GLS Downward Bound's
Downward Bound Photo Archives
There are many pages out there with more current shipping photos. Since this site has to do with genealogy and history we would like
to have an archive with old photos. If you have any photo collections you would like to contribute to the site please >
Joseph Mason GL Pilot
Family Information:
- My gr gr grandfather was a Joseph B. Mason, Ship Pilot on the Great
Lakes.
The only time period I have is his son was born 1860. Joseph Mason's son John
was a conductor on the DSS & A railroad and lived in Marquette from 1891 to
1910.

He (Joseph) carved two ships, one of which we have just located, it is over 100
yrs old; the name engraved on it is "Marquette". Does this mean
anything to someone?
Please contact Barbara Mason Lucas if you connect to Joseph Mason's family or have information about any of the ships pictured here.
