A series of newspaper articles about the disaster of September 12, 1900 on Lake Erie as it happened to the crew of the steam barge John B. Lyon during a storm. The articles contain interviews of survivors, list of the crew who lost their lives and those who managed to make it to shore. Also funeral information, family information and memorials are contained. These articles were collected by a descendant of one of the crew members and have been donated to the site.
