He married CLARA BELLE PEABODY February 21, 1892 in Roxand Township, Eaton County, Michigan, daughter of FREDERIC PEABODY and MARY HANNAH LASSEY. She was born December 05, 1873 in Monroe, Monroe County, Michigan, and died September 1948 in Golden Valley, Mercer County, North Dakota.

She married AUGUST BRECHT September 03, 1910 in Krem, Mercer County, North Dakota. He was born October 14, 1885 in North Dakota, and died January 30, 1959 in Lodi, San Joaquin County, California.
