Greenwood Cemetery in Center Township, is active and the township keeps the grounds mowed & the fence in good repair.
Land was made available to the township on Valley Road, probably in the late 1870's, by a landowner there. The cemetery records it's first grave in 1880.
A fire destroyed the original township cemetery records in the early 1950's. As a result, there are many names lost for early unmarked graves. In 1987, a listing of existing records was made, as well as a research of the cemetery burials.
