AMBOY
Wm. Gillett, Sr., died Oct. 3d and was buried the 5th. Funeral services were held at the M. E. church. He had been a resident of Amboy for 40 years.

AMBOY
Mrs. Hart, mother of A. C. Hart, died Oct. 4th and was buried the 7th. Her daughter, Nancy Rhodes from Kansas, and Libby, of Chicago, and six sons attended the funeral.

SOUTH MOSCOW
A pretty wedding occurred last Wednesday evening at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. A. McMullen when his daughter, Emma, was married to Bert Hall, of North Adams.

MOSCOW
Oct. 8. -- Miss Helen Rice, aged 82 years, for some time a resient of this place died Tuesday. The remains were taken to Brooklyn, her former home, for burial Thursday.

MOSCOW
We understand Carl Humphrey, who joined the regular army from this place about seven years ago, is now with his father at Spring Arbor. Carl expects to visit this, his old home, some time this fall. His old friends will welcome him back.

MOSCOW
Horace Fowle left last Monday for Dwight, Ill.

BANKERS
Mrs. John Horton, of Horton, visited her sister Mrs. Benjamin Miller, one day last week.

MOSHERVILLE
Prof. Haskins has gone to Jackson to assume his new duties as secretary of the democratic county committee.

MONTGOMERY
Mrs. Sybil Hakes was brought from Fort Wayne, Inc. Monday and buried in the Berg cemetery. Funeral services at the M.E. church. She went to Fort Wayne with Mathew Wharten. Deceased was eighty-two years old and a sister of the late Mrs. G. W. Perry.

NORTH ADAMS
Oct. 10. -- Mrs. Alzina Foote, or Toledo, was here last week to attend the funeral of her uncle, Mr. Lane, of Addison.

NORTH ADAMS
A. E. Hall, of Moscow, was married on Wednesday evening, Oct. 3d, to Miss Emma McMullin also living in Moscow. Rev. W. H. Parsons performed the ceremony. The newly married pair receive the congratulations of many friends.

NORTH ADAMS
The home of Jasper Wells who lives southeast of this village was entered while all the family were at church last Sunday and about one hundred dollars in money and a suit of clothes taken. The thief then turned some kerosene oil on the carpets and set them on fire. One of the neighbors seeing the smoke reached the house in time to put out the fire before much damage was done. The thief was captured Sunday evening on the railroad track between Hillsdale and Osseo. His name was McCabe and he had been working for Mr. Wells. Most of the money was recovered and the fellow landed in jail.

OSSEO
Mr. Joseph Price, an old resident of South Jefferson was found drowned in a lake near Mosherville.
