Written on the back of photo
"Picture on lot next
to my parents (Harry and Maria McDonald) home on John Street, we
had a gravel pit on one lot & we played there pouring water on the
hill to use our sleighs on. I'm on the end."

This is labeled "snowstorm 1913". It looks like Harry McDonald,
Register of Deeds, and his daughter (and assistant) Ina standing
in the doorway. No clue as to the snow shovelers. Taken by
James G. McDonald.

"Fred Cross home on E. Huron Ave, Bad Axe by Uncle Jim McDonald.
