David Scott Rozema was born 5 August 1956 at Grand Rapids, Michigan.

He was a baseball player, a pitcher; 6 ft. 4 in., 200 lbs., right-handed batter and thrower.

He graduated from Grand Rapids Community College.

Dave was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the 22^nd round of the 1974 amateur drat. In 1975, he was selected by the Detroit Tigers in the 4^th round.

He married Sandy Sklarski, 22 December 1985, in a double wedding ceremony with Sandy’s sister, JoAnn, and Kirk Gibson at Grosse Pointe Church, Grosse Pointe, Michigan.
