Matthew Todd Steigenga, born 27 March 1970 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

He graduated from South Christian High School in Grand Rapids and Michigan State University in Lansing, Michigan where he played basketball.

Matt was drafted by the Chicago Bulls in the 2^nd round (25^th pick) of the 1992 NBA draft.

He was 6 foot 7 inches and weighed 225 lbs. His basketball position was forward.

During the 1996 Michael Jordan-led Chicago Bulls season, number 12, Matt Steigenga contributed 1,296 points. The team went 15 – 3 in the playoffs, losing to the Sonics twice in the finals.
