Benjamin Morse

Born - 20 September 1844, Died - 24 Nov 1908

Mr. Morse was a Civil War Congressional Medal of Honor recipient.  He was a prisoner of war.  He served as a corporal in the Union Army in Company C, 3rd Michigan Infantry.  He was awarded the Medal of Honor for action on 12 May 1864 at Spotsylvania, Virginia.  His citation reads "Capture of colors of 4th Georgia Battery (C.S.A.).
