Commencement exercises for the U. B. A. Training school were held last night in Westminster Presbyterian church and a class of eight nurses were graduated.  Roses and potted plants decorated the platform and the auditorium was crowded with friends of the class members and friends of the association: Mrs. S. L. Withey, Rev. Dan F. Bradley and Rev. W. J. Russell occupied seats in the pulpit, and very sweet music was furnished by a quartet consisting of Mrs. Etta Yale, Mrs. Lucy Mahon, Mrs. Minnie Lillie and Miss Belle Chamberlain.

    Mr. Russell opened the exercises with prayer and a short address was given by Mr. Bradley.  The diplomas were presented by Mrs. Withey who addressed the class on the importance of their calling.  Musical selections were interspersed and badges were given the nurses by Mrs. Emma Keating, superintendent of nurses.  When the exercises were concluded the young women were tendered a reception at the home of Mrs. M. R. Bissell, 50 South College avenue.  The house was beautifully decorated, light refreshments were served and many friends called to offer congratulations to the young women who have so successfully finished their studies.  Their names are Winfred I. Sullau, Flora Smith, Frances R. Swift, Effie Abbott, Alberta Merritt, Grace Desby, Edith Griff and Mary Ames.
