Edward B. Campau

The funeral of Edward B Campau. 24 year old Alto banker killed in the automobile accident near Cascade Sunday afternoon, 17 July 1918, will held at the family residence in Alto Thursday.
Campau was born in Kent County Feb 11 1894 and graduated from Grand Rapids
Central High school when 17 years old. He attended the University of Michigan
for two and a half years leaving school, to take up the management of his
parent's many business enterprises.
Before he was 21 years old he was cashier and director or the Farmers State Bank
of Alto; cashier and vice president of the McCords State Bank; vice President of
the Browning Realty company of Grand Rapids; treasurer of the Alto Grain
Elevator company and of the Clarksville Grain Elevator company. He was married
in May 15 1915 to Miss Cecil Bancroft of Alto and was the father of two children
