Elmer R. Matthews

Elmer R. Matthews, age 77, passed away Saturday morning at his farm residence, R#1, Kent City. Surviving are his wife, Rausamond, one daughter, Mrs. Roland (Lucille) Mertes of Hammond, IN, two sons Lester A. of Grand Rapids, Walter R. of Indianapolis, IN, two sisters, Mrs. Emma Cloud and Mrs. Nellie Bailey of Greenville, seven grand children, four great-grand children. Mr. Matthews reposes at the Hayward Funeral Home, Casnovia, where funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday; Rev. R. A. Swedberg officiating. Interment Berlin Cemetery, Marne.
