Simon P. Oosting, 42 years old, who for 15 years has been a city salesman for the Worden Grocery company, died Sunday morning at his residence, 855 Sheridan avenue, S.E. Mr. Oosting had been a resident of Grand Rapids for twenty years and was well known in business circles throughout the city.
He was born in the Netherlands and came to this city in 1894. Shortly afterwards he identified himself with the wholesale grocery firm, and had been employed there continuously since.
He was a member of Batavia camp Modern Woodmen of America, in which he held a life insurance policy, and of the Holland American Aid society.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon at the residence. Rev. H. McConnell officiated. Interment in Oakhill cemetery.
