Mrs. John Pauels of Grandville, mother of A. J. Paules, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Moerdyk, on Sunday last.

The deceased suffered a fall some months ago from which she never recovered.

Mrs. Pauels came to America with her first husband, A. J. Kroess, in 1847. For many years while a widow at Holland, she boarded the students of the academy and Hope college.

Besides her husband, John Pauels, who is more than ninety-two years old, she leaves six children and several grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at Grandville Reformed Church Wednesday, burial at Holland.
