Henry Vander Leest, father of Mrs. Frank D. Warner, died at the residence of his daughter (the only child), at 726 Grandville Avenue, on Tuesday at the age of 87 years.

The deceased was a pioneer resident of this city and of this immediate vicinity. He was born in the Netherlands, 10 April 1827. He came to the states about forty-six years ago, settling in Grand Rapids, and for many years was engaged in the dairy business. His wife preceeded him in death nine years ago last month, since which time he has lived in quietude.

Funeral services were held yesterday at 1:00 o’clock from the residence and at 2:00 p.m. at the Fifth Reformed church, Revs. Hoffman and Spaan officiating. Burial in Valley City cemetery.
