The 1881 minutes for the school board recorded the actual vote to move the school house site: "The annual meeting of the legal voters of the School District No. 1 Frac.Tyrone & Casnovia met at the school House at seven o’clock in the afternoon. Meeting called to order by E. Hayward. The annual report was read and accepted. The meeting proceeded to elect a moderator by ballot. E. Hayward was elected moderator; 15 votes cast, received 12. Motion made for nine months school, amendment made and lost. Motion made and carried for eight months school. Motion made and seconded to move the site of said school district school house to the south east corner of section 25 town range 10 North 13 West. The vote was carried eleven for and five against. Motion made for the school officers of said district to lease a site on the south east corner of section 25. Motion carried. Motion made to have 15 cords of 2 foot beach and maple wood. Motion carried. Job let to F.A. Bale at 90 cents a cord to be delivered the 1^st of Jan, 1882. Motion made and carried to adjorn. Edgar Chase, Director"

The teacher contracts for the school year 1881 have Annie S. Leacy signing her contract Nov. 21, 1881 and states she will be paid $32 dollars per month to be paid on or before March 1882. The other teacher contract shows that Ella E. Tredway was hired for the summer session and signed her contract April 28, 1882, and would be paid $88 dollars on or before Sept. 1882.
