The School District No. 1 Frac. Tyrone Township & Casnovia school board minutes were held Sept. 4^th, 1882:

"The annual meeting of the legal voters of District No. 1 Frac. Tyrone Township & Casnovia met at the school house at 7 o’clock in the afternoon. Meeting called to order by E. Hayward, Moderator.

The Annual report was read and accepted. The meeting proceeded to elect an Assessor by ballot; thirteen votes cast, Walter Stinson was elected, receiving 11 votes. Motion made and carried that we have nine months school; two months fall, 4 months winter, and three months summer. Motion made and carried to have furnished 8 cords of wood, beach and maple. Job was let to F.A. Bail at 95 cents per cord. Meeting was adjorned. Edgar Chase, Director"
