Norman Chamberlain, M. D.
Norman Chamberlain, M. D. was born in Perrington, NY 11 May 1821. He remained on a farm until ten years of age. His father moved to Loraine Co., OH and he remained there until 1851 when he came to Kent County, two years later went to Jamestown, Ottawa County, where he resided twenty-five years. In 187 he went to Grand Rapids, remaining a year then moved to Byron township where he purchased a residence. He entered the study of medicine in 1850 with his brother at Rochester, OH and had a successful practice of over twenty years. He married in New London, OH 24 Jun 1840 to Relief Stillwell, daughter of Samuel & Annie (Perkins) Stillwell. She was born 30 Aug 1821 at Bennington, Genesee County, NY. They had three sons and four daughters |
